As a government cares and listen to the voice of the public, the ministry wants to get the feedback and views of the public connected to the alcohol content that needs to be allowed, connect with law / rules that will be changed under the road transport act 1987 [ACT 333].

1987年陆路交通法令

政府将会修改《1987年陆路交通法令》，对酒驾导致他人受伤和死亡的司机施加更严厉的处罚。

根据现有法令，在《1987年陆路交通法令》第45A（1）条文下，一旦罪名成立，可被判罚款1000令吉至6000令吉，或不超过12个月的监禁。

“而酒驾导致他人死亡，在《1987年陆路交通法令》第44条文（在酒精或毒品影响的情况下驾驶导致无法控制交通工具）下，一旦罪成，最高刑罚是罚款2万和监禁10年。”
